The Childhood and Youth Ciné-club association of Azrou is organising the 2nd edition of the High Mountains Film Festival on 8 and 9 March in Azrou/Ifrane.
"Amazigh Film: identity and development" is the theme of the second edition, which aims to be a very revealing overview of this still young cinema, which has already proven itself through its strong presence in various festivals in Morocco and elsewhere. Some Amazigh film directors have thus been honoured with awards at several cinematographic events. "We initially designed this project with the aim of promoting and rehabilitating Amazighity in all its dimensions. I won't hide from you that we were heavily criticised. But we held on and redoubled our efforts to pursue our mission, without worrying about bad-mouthing. This has paid off since we have already completed the preparations for the second edition and we are happy with the programme that will be presented in March to the cinephile public," emphasises the festival director Abdelaziz Belrhali.
